Honda Civic vs Honda Insight vs Honda Accord Sedan Comparison

We’ve previously compared the Honda Civic against the Honda Accord here at Rossi Honda. However, with the upcoming 2019 Honda Insight, Honda will soon now have 3 different sedan models in its commercial catalog. For those looking to buy a sedan model, which Honda sedan is the best option to purchase? Should you buy the Honda Civic, the Honda Insight, or the Honda Accord? What’s the right fit for you? Let’s explore the differences between all of the Honda Sedans to find out how they compare.

2018 Honda Civic

First up we have the Honda Civic compact sedan, currently available in its 2018 model. The smallest of the 3 Honda sedans, the 2018 Honda Civic sedan has a 2L Inline 4 engine with 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. The size of the Civic sedan also gives it small amount of cargo space, but its compact build does net some advantages. The 2018 Honda Civic sedan has a city fuel economy of 32 MPG*, a highway fuel economy of 42 MPG*, and a starting MSRP of $18,940**.

2019 Honda Insight

Next, we have the newest of the lot. That would be the 2019 Honda Insight pulled from Honda history and redesigned completely. Honda has not yet released the pricing information regarding the upcoming 2019 Honda Insight, but it has released a great deal of data on its specs and features. From this, we know that, by size, the Insight fits as a compromise between the Civic and Accord. Standard as a hybrid, the baseline LX trim and EX trim will have a city fuel economy of 55 MPG*** and the higher Touring trim level will have a city fuel economy of 51 MPG***.
