Not seen since the early 2000s, this new Honda Passport obviously looks quite a bit different. Offering a rugged crossover look, the 2019 Honda Passport fits between the Honda CR-V compact SUV and the Honda Pilot full-size SUV.
The pictures obviously speak for themselves, but standard exterior and interior highlights include roof rails, a matte black grille, a floating roof design, a wide tailgate, increased ride height, soft-touch surfaces, leather upholstery, and an underfloor cargo compartment we’ll talk about further below.
2019 Honda Passport Engines, Trims, and Power Output
The 2019 Honda Passport SUV is equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine. This produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. All 4 trims of the 2019 Honda Passport (Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite) are equipped with this engine. All trims come with a 9-speed automatic transmission and have standard front-wheel drive with available all-wheel drive, except for the Elite trim that comes with standard all-wheel drive.

The 2019 Honda Passport seats 5 but is far sportier and more spacious for passengers than the Honda CR-V. The trunk cargo space of the 2019 Honda Passport has an initial cargo capacity of 41.2 ft3 and a maximum cargo capacity of 77.9 ft3. Additionally, as mentioned above, there is the underfloor cargo compartment that adds an additional 2.5 ft3 of space.
